Apple Picking and Hiking

Wayyyyy back in November of 2009 Todd and I took a then six and two year old apple picking and then to a super cool state park with TONS of fish.  Several times over the years we have talked about going back up there b/c the state park is stunning.

Yesterday we decided to head back up... believe it or not here's my post on the same apple orchard and state park from 8 years ago.

Ironically on that trip there weren't any apples left but TONS of fish... today was the opposite.  Lots and lots of apples but no fish.   All three kids brought their rods and Jack even bought some trout bait but sadly there weren't much fish left- I guess they fill it back up next week... not sure how they do that but guess we were a week too early.

We had a great time, picked tons of apples, ate a yummy lunch at a cute spot in downtown Morganton and hiked two miles up to these beautiful falls.  Hadley even walked all by herself the entire way (with the exception of a minute or so on Jack's back at the end).

Fun day making memories with my people!

Until next time...
