Catching Up

So it's been a while.... oops.

Lots and lots going on and honestly I am kinda tired of blogging... but just because I am tired of years and years of blogging I know I will kick myself in the rear if I don't try to keep up.

We are three weeks in to school for the big kids and two weeks for Hadley.  All three are very happy with their teachers/classes/etc.

Jack is taking three high school credit classes (English 1, Math 1, Spanish 1) and seems to be handling it well so far.   He's learned over the years to manage his time pretty well and will hopefully manage his self-induced stress levels better this year.  Football is going well - his team is 5-0 and Jack's been involved in some plays so that's been fun.  Yesterday he ran down and across the field to tackle a big kid on the one yard line by himself to prevent a touchdown.   Sadly I wasn't on the right end of the field to get pics of it.   Only 6 more days until his 14th birthday... crazy.

Riley absolutely loves her teachers, Mrs. Leo and Mrs. Elden.  They are both strong teachers and she's working hard already on homework and studying for tests.  She has a desire to learn that I have not seen in her before and that makes me happy.  As long as you're trying your best that's all I ask.   Lacrosse clinics end today, her running class starts tomorrow and her 'travel' lacrosse team starts October 1st.  Busy girl.

Hadley loves, loves her teacher of course.  She's obsessed with school and has quickly found a new BFF- Ariella.  I was a little worried since her BFF from last year, Ruby, moved to Tennessee this summer.  But she's been fine and totally loving her new class.   We signed her up for soccer at the Y and it was an epic disaster.  Not on Hadley's end but the Y placed 11-12 kids on her team and the Coach was clueless.  We found another place for her to play and she played her first game yesterday and really did well and loved it.    She's been busy following her sister around and being carted around everywhere.

This is what happens when Dad's in charge:
