Well…. here we are already with one week left in the summer. At times this summer has felt like it's flying by… other times it's creeping by like a turtle.
This coming week is filled with practices every night, high school football game for Jack Friday, well visit for Riley, open houses for both kids and Riley and I leave for Asheville Friday late afternoon for a tournament all weekend. That means I need to get my ducks in a row for school before we leave Friday.
I am looking forward to the routine of school and sports for everyone. I hope school helps Hadley sleep better… she's been up almost every single night this summer and it's exhausting. I need my sleep!
We've been enjoying the pool a ton… it was especially nice last night after sweating in the heat for 2 1/2 hours for Jack's first football game.
We played Holy Trinity- a super star catholic middle school team that beat us in the championship last year. Unfortunately we lost 13-6 but Jack played a ton - about half the game at cornerback and wide receiver. He loved it and felt really good about how he played. Besides the scorching heat (even under a tent) it was fun to watch.
Last week we took a trip to Carrigan Farms to swim in their gorgeous water hole. It was stunning and so much fun….
Until next time….
