The yin and yang

While Jack was busy building a sand castle with his daddy

and playing football with his daddy (don't worry- we do feed him- he just looks like we don't)

Ri was busy consumming her drink of choice: a juice box

and sitting w/ Poppy in his lap, being silly.

Because, you see, my FIERCELY independent sweet Riley is deathly afraid of the ocean. All of a sudden she wants nothing to do with it. My RiRi sure can talk a big game.

So she continued to sit in Poppy's lap (or anyone else's for that matter) until we left the beach and hit the pool.

She did get her feet in the sand, for a bit. Here's proof:
