In the span of about three hours yesterday Jack asked Todd and/or myself the following questions (in this order).
1. Who are the three wise men?
2. Who is baby Jesus?
3. How did the builder make our stairs?
4. How did the builder make our floor?
5. How did the builder make our playroom?
6. How was I made?
Yes- how was I made? Here's our conversation from yesterday, verbatim.
Todd: Jack- ask mommy what you just asked me.
Jack: Mommy (some football question). ---- We were watching football.----
Todd: No- ask mommy what you just asked me.
Jack: (some football question).
Todd: No- ask Mommy....(Todd whispers something in his ear).
Jack: Mommy- how was I made?
Me: (Looking at Todd w/ his smirk on his face. The kind of smirk that says- ha ha you get to answer this one.) Uuhhhh- you grew in my tummy.
Jack: No- how was I made?
Me: You came out at the hospital with the help of a doctor.
Jack: Oh- (you could tell he wasn't satisfied w/ the answer but he thankfully quit pushing the issue).
I was not prepared for the procreation talk since he is just 4 years old. I know he'll be wondering about that stuff sooner rather than later. He's such a curious child, which I think is great. I guess I better start figuring out how to explain it.
I never did find out how Todd answered the question.
Until next time...
