We got our Christmas tree this weekend. After journeying over an hour to a cut-your-own-tree-farm we discovered that Frasier trees can't be grown in the south, only the furry green kind. So- we bought a Frasier tree from the farm and found a great little sandwich shop only 10 minutes from our house on the way home, so it was worth the trip.
Our tree is quite lopsided with 90% of the ornaments on the top 2/3 of the tree, so it's a bit top heavy. Of course this is because of Riley. But... that doesn't stop her from playing w/ the tree itself.
I swear- the following paragraph I am about to write really did happen. It's true.
When I pick the kids up from school I usually say hello to the teacher and ask them (esp. Riley's teacher) if they had a good day or not. Today Mrs. Linz, Riley's teacher, said to me:
"You must have put your Christmas tree up this weekend."
My response: "Yes- we did." (With a perplexed look on my face).
Mrs. Linz (with a grin on her face). " When I changed Riley's diaper today I noticed some pine needles."
Gross! I had no idea that Riley was EATING the Christmas tree. I guess I'll have to keep a closer eye on her.
Until next time...
