Tidbits

Just a few little tidbits on the kids... nothing major going on.

Riley went back today for a recheck on her ears. Can't remember if I have blogged much about her ears, but she's had five ear infections since November, two of them being double ear infections. The last two were back to back so our pediatrician recommended seeing an ENT if they didn't clear up. Well, after a horrendous bout w/ Augmenten (b/w diarrhea and not eating, she was a joy on that med), it cleared it up. Little does the Dr. know that we took her off of it a few days early b/c she was so miserable on it. Anyway..... her ears are all better. Praise Jesus! Raise the roof! We're not in the clear yet, so we'll see. We're going in for one more check up before we head off to the beach for two weeks at the end of the month, so hopefully we'll be good to go.

Jack started Summer Camp at one of the local YMCA's today. He didn't want me to leave him at first, but no tears were shed. He had a great time and one of the teachers told me he did great. That's a relief b/c he's been quite the mommy's boy lately. Not that he hasn't always been a mommy's boy, but it's been bad lately. He really needs to do this so he'll know that mommy can drop him off and he'll be ok on his own for a few hours by himself.

We're trying to see all of our friends at least once before we head off to the beach so we'll be busy w/ playdates and camp. We've got Riley's birthday party coming up so that should be fun. I've sent out invites and now just need to get my act together and figure out if we're doing pizza or Mexican- can't decide. Todd's busy with work and trying to get our backyard finished before his Sweat the Barrel Party in August. I am enjoying curling up in our newly finished "reading room" with a juicy book and looking forward to some more beach time.
