It never fails...
... that when you need your child to fall asleep in the car, they don't. Or they fall asleep when you are minutes from your destination.
... that when you need your child to stay awake in the car (so nap time is not cut short), they doze like a rock star, prompting me to roll down windows, sing (ugh) or clap my hands very loud.
... that Riley ends up w/ an ear infection when I have no idea that she has one, after showing NO signs of her ear being infected.
... that I was 100% sure Riley had an ear infection today (first time I was sure) and low and behold, the Dr. gives us the all clear. After a little digging and cleaning of wax, she was good to go. No tubes for now.
... that I tell Jack and his friend Maddie they can't get on the top bunk and minutes later we hear two THUDS. One is the ladder falling and the other is Jack falling from who knows how high. Jack and Maddie decided to try and place the ladder on the top bunk and crawl up. HELLO- it needs to be latched into place. Maybe next time you'll listen to me.
... that we tell Jack NOT to play w/ himself b/c he has poison ivy and it's spreading. Guess what- a little patch appeared just above his privates two days ago. Another example of maybe-next-time-you'll-listen-to-me.
... until next time...
