Usually in the a.m. we go upstairs after breakfast and play in the playroom for a while before we head out for the day. Riley loves it up there, she's able to crawl around on the carpet and get into all of Jack's toys. Nice.
Well, this morning, Jack (out of the blue) is holding a marker (a red one) and asks me if he can "paint" his toenails. What? No, you cannot, I tell him. I explain that painting toe nails is for girls and he promptly responds, "Maybe I can pretend to be a girl." AGGGGHHHHHHHH
Are you serious?
Ok- so I know they all do it at this age, but come on.
So I come downstairs to get my bag ready to go so we can head out when Riley wakes from her morning nap and down comes Jack asking for a wipe. I gave him one and thought nothing of it. (Actually he told me he had to blow his nose.)
A few minutes later we're in the TV room and I notice that he has red marker ALL OVER HIS TOES!!!!! Oh dear God.
Please, please, please don't let this be a sign of times to come. Hind sight tells me I should have just let him do it the first time he asked so he could get it out of his system. ?????
Until next time...
