Happy Birthday Hadley!

Where did the last five years go?   Our sweet baby is FIVE YEARS old.....
I guess we can't call her our baby anymore.

So we celebrated Hadley yesterday  (Daddy's on an airplane on his way to Vegas right now for a conference) with a big breakfast, presents, park time with Daddy and her favorite meal - 'green noodles'  (penne with fresh basil pesto).

She was super excited to get her own American Girl look alike doll, a Unicorn float and some LOL's (this silly toy she loves).   We all made her cards - which she loved too.   She picked out a birthday ice cream cake at Baskin Robbins and eating that last night was likely the highlight of her day.   We saved a piece for her to eat tonight.     Today she brought donuts to school for her birthday celebration and tonight I'll order her a well done cheese pizza from Mario's- and then take Jack to practice!  Ha- back to normal.

Hard to believe in just a few short months Hadley will be in kindergarten.  She is super excited to go to the 'big kid school' and talks about it all the time.   I know she's emotionally 100% ready... just gotta get through the summer and off she'll go.

So a few things to remember as our sweet girl turns five today.

Hadley LOVES- anything to do with her sister, playing at the park, American girl dolls, rice and beans, coloring, reading books at night, 'hanging out' with family, swimming, being around her momma ALL the time, cooking, lacrosse, soccer, Swisher, wearing flip flops, picking out her clothes, well done cheese pizza/

Hadley is at times feisty as hell and drives us crazy with her 'demands' but she can also be very sensitive and puts her thumb in her mouth when she feels shy.   She loves school and apparently is an excellent student, follows directions, knows all her letters and most of her numbers, counts to 30 and higher on a good day, colors in the lines and like to be a helper to her teachers.  She's not reading yet but shows a big interest and loves to 'read' to me.

Lately she's been into watching YouTube videos, loved watching college basketball on TV, gets excited when she sees a Panthers or Weddington bumper sticker around town and gives a BIG thumbs down when we see a Clemson sticker anywhere- that's my girl.   She likes to talk on the phone, play games on my phone, play music, have dance parties and build Legos.  She prefers to build her own creations and likes when Jack helps her.   She follows Riley around everywhere and it's a major disaster when Riley and I leave the house without her- which doesn't happen often.

Five years have flown by!  Can't imagine life without her- our family would be BORING for sure without our Hizzy.

Happy birthday sweet girl!

We loved you tons and tons.
