From t-ball to middle school.

Over the course of the last 2 1/2 months Jack has been attending middle school baseball conditioning twice a week after school on the slim chance he'd make the baseball team this spring.   He did this along with wrestling and working out once a week with his travel team.

The varsity coach runs these conditioning practices and from what I understand - uses them to get a good look at the kids before try outs each year.  Jack really liked them and enjoyed working out with other 6th-8th graders.

There wasn't much baseball skill involved - except for some bullpen work.  Just a whole lot of conditioning.

Well- all the years of hard work paid off because try-outs were this week and he made the JV baseball team.  He wasn't even one of the kids called back for the extra try out day!

Size, obviously, has always been a disadvantage for Jack but he powers through and gives it his all.
He is super excited about this spring and will play on two teams - his middle school team and his travel team.  Not sure if he'll have much time off (maybe Friday's) from March until Memorial Day weekend but he's ready!

Go get 'em Jack!  We are super proud of you!

Until next time...
