A Day for Riley

I do believe the birthday girl had a great day.
She woke up bright and early, as usual, and immediately opened her presents,
a couple of toys to go with her American Girl dolls and Bitty Babies.
She said she wanted another American Girl- but I think we'll wait for Santa on that one.

Daddy took the family out for breakfast: egg sandwiches and Ri's fave: cinnamon rolls.

We headed over to Cedarwood for Riley's birthday party.
She had a blast with a few girlfriends and their siblings.
Most of them happen to have older brothers and mommies that I am good friends with so it was a win win for all of us.

Here is Ri with three of her best buddies: Kaitlyn, Addy and Emelia.

Jack's bud JP and his big sister Reilee came. Reilee is almost 12 and so sweet to Riley. Whenever we get together with their family Reilee plays so sweet with our Ri, which makes it easy.

Jack had just as much fine as Ri did. That is until we came home and opened gifts. He kept asking if he could buy something. No Jack- June 29th is one of the few days of the year that our lives do NOT revolve around your schedule. (Even though he had baseball practice last night).

Riley's friends Abby, Addy and Brady came. They all had to take a quick swim test- each of them passed, thankfully.

Isn't that sweet?

Another one of Jack's good friends, Matthew, begged and begged his mom to do a flip off the diving board. She relented and this is what he did. He was AMAZING.

"Big Reilee" made the kids bracelets. She's super talented and can whip up a bracelet in no time!

Riley and Emelia - this was the first time they've seen each other in a couple of weeks and I think it's fair to say that they have missed each other.

The other big girls, Evelyn and Emily. These two had fun together as well.

B-Man. He was shakin' in his boots the first time he went off the diving board but soon after that first jump he was good to go.

Carson - another one of Jack's best buds. His little sister is always super sweet to Riley as well. She's at the beach with her cousins this week. We missed her!

Riley and her friends - having fun.

The big boys turn.

Looks like he's walking on water.

Cake time!!
Her old preschool teacher Mrs. Muth made this adorable flip flop cake and matching flip flop cookies for all the kids to take home.

The crew (Minus Brady - who just left).

My and my 'mini' me- as my college friend Jen has dubbed Riley.

It was a great day.
Riley had fun with her friends and left with memories that will last forever.

Until next time...
