A Good Night

They did it.

The Braves won the AA Machine Pitch Championship last night.

They worked hard, scrapped through the first 5 innings and went into the 6th with a 2 or 3 run lead. I am never good with keeping up with the score, but I know we were barely winning going into the last inning. But at the start of the 6th inning we rallied. We scored 6 or 7 runs to go up 15 - 8. It was awesome. Everyone hit. Everyone got on base and quite a few scored.

Parents were cheering. The kids were going bananas. You would have thought we were in the World Series or something. It felt like it.

These kids were SO excited. And I tell ya- it was something special. Watching my son be a part of this was something I'll never forget. The smile on his face during the trophy presentation was priceless.

Jack played great. He made it to base almost every time at bat and played infield the entire game. He has a lot to learn, but man, he's come a loooong way.

I'm so proud of his work ethic, his sportsmanship, his integrity and his spirit.

So long baseball- we'll see you again in August. C.A.N.N.O.T. wait.

Until next time....
