Todd and I decided very last minute today to cruise up to Morganton, NC to hit up an apple orchard (thanks to my neighbor mentioning that they were going).
Well- the apple orchard was a bust. The actual picking was over- bummer. But we took the wagon ride and bought some apples and drank a cider slushie (yummm). We are going to try to make apple pie filling tomorrow so we can freeze it and make apple pie for Thanksgiving.
Since the orchard took all of an hour we asked if there were any other places for us to go w/ the kids. This nice lady at the orchard directed us to a national state park nearby. Oh my goodness- we had a great time. I have loads and loads of pics to upload but need to edit first-
We are planning to go back again in the spring w/ a picnic and fishing gear.
Until next time....

Sounds like fun...we may have to try to hit it next year...
Love your blog! How cute, I can't wait to follow. Bummer about the apple orchard - Daniel and I went to one up in the NC mountains last year and it was a blast! Can't wait to see more pictures!
