And we're off. In about 24 hours Todd and I will be in St. Louis for four days celebrating BJ and Laren's wedding. This is an extra special wedding for a few reasons:
- BJ is Todd's last college buddy to get married. The last one. Bittersweet.
- Todd and I played a part in setting BJ and Laren up. Laren's sister and I have been friends for 5 years and tried a few times to set them up but the logistics didn't work. Finally- three years ago this January we all went out for my b-day dinner and Laren was in town. The rest is history.
- Both of BJ and Laren's dads passed away last year. So incredibly bittersweet. I did not meet Laren's dad but I had the honor of knowing Mr. Mart and I know he'll be deeply missed. I hope he'll be watching.
Needless to say we cannot wait to get to St. Louis. Lots of fun to be had- for sure.

Jack finishes tball this weekend. We are sad to miss his last game but there will be many more years of baseball for him. Last night he had his best game. He finally hit the ball like he does at home and made a few great outs at shortstop.
We had Jack's first conference yesterday with his kindergarten teacher. No worries in that department. He's a leader in his class and breezing through all academics. Seems his classmates like to be around him. We love his teacher!
His 6 year check up was last week. He's hovering around the 5th percentile, still. He's up to 36 lbs. For real. He's so darn tiny. But we love him- big or small.

Ri keeps trucking away at school and LOVES it. She is getting easier (knock on wood). She is not waking up at night anymore. Praise Jesus. She still wakes at the crack of dawn but I can deal with that.

My mom is here now until Sunday. I am sure she'll be exhausted by then. The kids have a lot going on and she'll have to tote them here, there and everywhere. She loves it though.
So I am off to pack, clean and pack some more.
