So Ri goes "under the knife" again on Tuesday. It's her ears again, and her adnoids.
She first had tubes put in last October, when she 15 plus months. But, one of them has fallen out and she has had two infections in that ear. In fact, she has one now- lots of fluid but no redness so it shouldn't be hurting.
And- her adnoids have been causing her loads of problems. Y'all have read about her sleep issues that I've been blogging about this fall. It seems that she has a bit of sleep apnea. She wakes frequently during the night, snores, and breathes funny. I was a bit alarmed last week while we were in KY listening to her sleep. (Ri and I slept in the same room b/c of her sleep issues.) She makes weird noises and it's almost likes she has to 'gasp' for air at times. It's crazy.
So- her ENT Dr. thinks this will solve those problems. I did ask him why we need adnoids. I certainly didn't want him removing something from her that she still needs. But, rest assured, we only need them in infancy to help build our immune system. They dissolve into our bodies by the time we are teens. After infancy they are no need to us. For some kids (like Ri) they are enlarged and cause problems. YA THINK!
Yep- I am in- take 'em out.
So-next week is proving to be quite busy. Todd's gone Mon-Wed night. He comes home only to be gone again Thursday night. I host Bunco Thursday night and we host a dinner party Friday. And we have a birthday party Saturday. Thankfully my mom was already off all week and is coming up Monday now instead of Wed. to help me w/ Jack.
It never ends!!
Until next time...
