Litte bit of this...little bit of that.

So we got a laptop. I had one about 10 years ago so that makes it ancient in computer years. We actually passed it on a while ago when we got our first PC. So- now I can sit in the playroom or in bed and read my various blogs and write in mine if I want. Convenient. Must be 2008. I am on it now, in the playroom, hoping that RiRi falls fast asleep on the couch. Yeah right.

We have all but given up hope that she will still nap. She woke early today and is tired but if I tried to put her in bed she'd crawl right back out. Makes me yearn for that crib again. She'll fall asleep in a skinny minute if she's in the car but that's not always an option.

Only five more weeks of summer. The kids have camp next week at their preschool and then we have a free week. The second week in August Jack has his 2nd, and last, camp at the YMCA, Camp Eagle Rock. He really enjoyed it in June so I am hoping he loves it again. Then we're off the beach for another golf camp and then it's only one more week!! YIKES. Back in May I wondered how I'd pass the time all summer but we've been super busy. Not much down time.

Jack has been full of ATTITUDE lately. And no- I didn't accidentally hit the Caps Lock key. Full of ATTITUDE. His mouth opens and half the time it's something snotty, rude, or annoying. It's come on all of a sudden and I'm not quite sure what to do about it. He's been talking back quite a bit too. We harp on manners and being respectful but it's just not there right now. I hope it's a faze.

A year or so ago he was in this kick of being 'first' with everything: first to go down the stairs, first to get into the bathtub, first to shut the door. FIRST FIRST FIRST. It dwindled but it's back in full force. Just a day or two ago I was attempting to shower w/ the kids and Riley was already in the shower (mistake number one) and then I began to step in. HOLY SMOKES! You would have thought I took his favorite toys away.

That's about it for now. Jack has a friend coming over for a bit and maybe Riley will snooze....

Unitl next time.....

He began to scream and cry like a two year old. It was quite comical. I started laughing, which in turn made him cry harder. Stuff like this has been occuring often in our house.

Anyway- he's four, almost five, and I have to remember that.
