Happy eary Easter!

The kids are at preschool and I've been busy getting things together this a.m. for our trip to the beach tomorrow morning. We haven't seen the girls (cousins) since Christmas so I'm sure they will have a nice time hanging out the next few days. Jack and Ava, who's just 11 months older than Jack, play so well together. Emma is in third grade now so she's getting a bit old to play with the little ones, but she'll help out with Riley and we'll give her a few bucks!

We don't plan on doing much but hanging out. Todd will take Jack to the driving range, as he always does, and I'm sure we'll walk along the beach at least once. We're going to see the Easter bunny Saturday morning for breakfast and then have the kids do the Easter egg hunt at the club. I'm sure I'll take lots of pics and post them when we get back.

Todd's been in Denver since super early Monday and we miss him. Although he works a lot and is often gone into the evenings during the week, it's nice to have him sleep at home. I always get a smidgen of anxiety when he leaves but after a day or so it disappears. Thank goodness he rarely travels more than one day at at time. I find myself waking up during the night when he's gone and "hearing" things. I know it's silly- but there are some crazy people in this world. I actually slept last night from 9:45 - 5:45 this a.m. w/o waking, unusual for me. The funny thing is I woke Tuesday night at some point in the night and found Kodiak on our bed. He hasn't slept in our bed in soooo long. I guess he was just protecting me.

We had Family Night at the kids preschool last night. Since Todd is out of town I had a sitter for Riley and spent some time with just Jack. We met his buddy Kyle and his mom for pizza before we went up to the school. The boys had fun w/ their friends James and Patrick jumping in the bounce houses and obstacle courses and we went to the book fair (again)- this time to buy a book for their teachers. We ended the night with a snow cone and came home with one exhausted little boy.

Off to get the kids- y'all have a Happy Easter.

Until next time...
