Just kidding. Not me.
Those of you who know me well know that I am not a shopper. Don't get me wrong- I like to buy things (ask Todd), it's just that I am not into the whole shopping thing. I was never one of those teenagers who schlepped (is that a word?) around the mall w/ my friends window shopping. I shop with myself and myself only. Window shopping is for the birds. If you're going to shop, damn it, shop and spend some money. I despise shopping w/ people who putz around looking at things, meandering through stores with no worry in the world. I go get what I need and get out. I'd rather spend the day watching football than shopping w/ girlfriends (egads!).
Done w/ my rant on shopping.
Can you tell it's Christmas time?
I spent most of this morning hitting the book store and toy store. Talk about overwhelming, it's ridiculous. I bought the kids and their cousins books (my fave thing to buy) and got some stuff at the toy store, but was left w/ some questions...
How much is too much to spend? Do most people budget Christmas? Do you make it "even," even if your littlest wouldn't know the difference. What does a third grade girl like? Aggghhhhh-
I do love Christmas. I love buying things for people. I love, love to wrap presents. I love what the holidays bring in general: food, cooking, Charlie Brown Christmas, cookies, red and green, lights, family, parties...... on and on and on.
So here we are, the 5th of November, and Turkey Day is a little over two weeks away. Y'all better get shopping!
Until next time...
