Dr. visits

Jack first.

He had his four year well check up last week, which included two shots in each arm. He was a trooper and the nurse worked as fast as she could. He did great w/ everything except for height. He only grew one inch last year, which causes a slight concern w/ our pediatrician.

So- he's sending us to an endocrinologist (basically a hormone doctor). We went to the lab on Friday and Jack had 5 vials of blood drawn and then an x-ray taken of his wrist for a bone scan. Once all the results are in we'll get an appt. w/ the Dr. to see if he has low growth hormone. I've got to do some research to see what the side effects are, if we have to go that route. I'll keep you posted.

Riley had her little PG thing removed on Friday. It wasn't as bad as I expected and the scab has already fallen off. It's a little red, but we're putting stuff on it to help it heal. I had to take RiRi to the Urgent Care yesterday to have her ears checked again- she's super close to tubes. She was fine, but I think she is getting one. We go Tuesday for a check up w/ our regular Dr, so we'll see.

I guess I should feel lucky that these are such minor issues. I'd take a shortie any day over what some people have to deal with.
