We'll Be Back

Sadly Camp Whip Poor Will came to a close on Friday for Jack. You know the saying, all good things must come to an end.

I'd have to say the 5 days Jack spent at the camp were some of the best days of his young life. He had a blast. And it didn't revolve around sports. Which made me happy.

You see- as Jack gets older all aspects of his day revolve around sports. He even turned on a College Fishing tournament over the weekend for God's sake. Todd and Jack had a conversation about cities in California based on the baseball teams. I guess that's one way to learn geography :). Funny thing is he's not even playing anything right now- it's just something he loves.

So it was nice to take his mind off sports for a bit and enjoy the outdoors. They built a tee pee in their 'home in the woods,' went fishing every day, competed in archery, rode horses, marched through the woods singing songs, caught bugs, made food and fed the animals, played games, walked through the creeks and so much more.

Kind of makes me want to be a kid again.

Until next time...
