We are spoiled in the south. Flip flops can easily be worn 8 months out of the year. We swim from April ‘til September. We play outside almost year round. It is glorious and I love it.
Expect for those few weeks that usually fall sometime in late January or early February where it’s just darn cold. We might get a snowfall or two- a few inches at best.
But- for some reason Mother Nature has decided to play a cruel trick on us this year and the last couple of weeks have been brutal. Temps in the teens in the early a.m. and we’ve been lucky to see the 40’s during the day.
Until today.
Finally- we made it into the 50’s, the mid 50’s to be exact. It felt like spring was peeking around the corner. We know not to get too used to this warm spurt- but it was nice to meet quite a few of our friends at the park today. A reunion of sorts. Half of Jack’s TK class was there. The boys had a great time seeing each other again. The girls had fun and everyone got along.
The ladies played in the sand most of the time and the boys hung out in the woods, as usual. And the boys, for some reason, played on the slides for quite some time too. I sat down and snapped some fun shots of them.
Here are some pics of the kids and their friends:
Until next time…
