Don't think we'll have to take our second child to the endocrinologist, like we do the first child. Just a trip to the store to buy some more pants is all.
Jack continues to grow, at a snail's pace. Poor thing. Even though he's about one of the oldest in his class, he's still close to being the shortest. If it weren't for one or two other shorties, Jack would claim the prize I held almost all of my life: shortest in class.
Todd bought the family a Wii for Christmas. We've only had it hooked up for a few days (since we were gone until Saturday) but we have had some fun times w/ it already.
Case in point:
- Jack loves bowling. Probably because he's good at it. He whips that remote around like it's going out of style. He adds a little hop to the end of his roll too. One day I'll get it on video. He rolls a few strikes and a few more spares each round.
- Ri loves bowling. Well- what she would call bowling. She is still trying to get the hang of that remote and holding down the right button and when to release it. Cracks me up actually. When she does 'get it right' she gets all proud of herself, jumps up and down and runs to the nearest adult for adulation.
- It's quite excruciating to teach a super "sweet" know-it-all Miss Independent three-year-old how to play the Wii. She just doesn't have the mind set yet to work buttons simultaneously. She's getting there though.
- The golf game is HARD! Jack made a 15 on one hole and that was with Daddy's help. He was quite frustrated, but worked it out. Who knows when he'll play that game again b/c he likes to play things he's good at (go figure).
- Jack beat Todd in tennis- the first time they played. He also beat me in tennis. I think it was b/c he had first serve. I need to make sure I get 1st serve next time. I am not going to let him win on purpose, that's for sure.
That's about it for now.
Until next time...
