Tuesday was a great day. Like all the other days it started out w/ all of us being lazy and hanging out. Meg and I hit up Vineyard Haven for lunch and shopping. It was really nice.
We knew we were going to spend the evening hanging out at Camp and that Ri would have to stay up late so we decided to cruise around the island in the afternoon and hope that Ri would pass out in the car- which she did.
Here’s the lighthouse at Gay Head. Gorgeous.
We stopped to admire many of the stone walls that are all over MVY. To me- it’s the coolest thing about the Vineyard. I love them.
We cruised by the Ag Hall- the place where Todd and I had our wedding reception over 7 years ago. What a beautiful place.
We headed out to Camp that evening with all the cousins and their kids for a cook out. It was the best night we had on vacation. The kids had a blast and that is no understatement.
Camp is one of the coolest places around. On the edge of the cliff sit several Adirondack chairs. Love them! Lots of things were going on at Camp:
Karl grilled up hot dogs and steak. Delicious.
And the kids hung out on the edge of the cliff. Scary stuff.
And piled high on the Adirondacks for some cool photo ops.
And ate pistachios on the front porch.
And I admired this really cool bowl.
And the adults and kids played bocce ball.
And the kids also played Jamaican horseshoes.
And Todd and Jack stopped for a quick chat on the cliff.
And of course we had some more photo ops.
Oh yeah- and the kids flew a kite.
All the while the adults ate, drank and were quite merry.
After dinner the kids enjoyed a great game of Capture the Flag-
And we finished the evening with a great pyramid with almost all of the kids- and a few of the ‘big’ kids.
One more- Todd and Jack doing a trick.
What a great day.
More to come…
Until next time…
