Let's see. It's that time of year when I feel like I am running around. It's not like I wait until the last minute to shop, I really don't, it's just that there is so much to do.
It doesn't help that Ri is STILLLL sick. It started w/ her strep throat the week before Thanksgiving and continued w/ her stomach bug and then her struggles w/ her adenoids and tubes and now she has a sinus infection. Throughout the last month or so she has had a stuffy nose and then this past weekend she started w/ rancid breath. I mean knock-you-over rancid.
Plus she's was hacking away all day yesterday w/ this wicked cough and threw up last night b/c she was coughing so hard. Nothing like changing bedding in the middle of the night.
So we went to see Dr. Marc yesterday and he gave us a strong antibiotic and warned me of a possible brutal diaper rash to come. Great.
So - fast forward to tonight and she seems better, especially after her bath tonight. I lubed her up w/ lots of Vix on her chest and Vaseline on her lips and nose. She has her antibiotic and cough medicine in her and she's chatting away in her bed right now. I had a little chat w/ her and told her not to bug me tonight. Momma needs some sleep.
Jack is gearing up for his very last Matthews United Methodist Church Preschool Christmas Program this Friday. He's been talking about it for quite some time. I look forward to seeing him one last time w/ his buddies singing about jingly bells and frosty, among others.
We took the kids down to the zoo last night in Columbia. The kids had a great time (minus a few meltdowns from Ri on the way down) and I'm glad we decided to go down. We met up w/ my parents and our neighbor and her kids joined us. We took some pics but I haven't uploaded them yet.
I think Ri's asleep and I am beat so it's time to hit the sack.
