It's my turn.

It's Jack. It's my turn to hijack my mom's blog. Riley did it a while back and I've wanted a turn.

I'm five now. That's the biggest thing that's happened to me in my life lately. I know my mom has written lots of blogs about my birthday and you're probably sick of hearing about it, but it was an important day for me.

I am now a full hand. Five fingers. Uno. Dos. Tres. Quatro. Cinco. I can count to ten in spanish. I need to work on counting to 20, but 10 will do for now.

So- now that I am a full hand I am working really hard to not suck my thumb anymore. I guess my dad stopped sucking his thumb when he was 5 so I'm right on track. My dad just started give me an allowance. He gives me three dollars a week. He's going to try and teach me about money. He said something about saving money but I told him I wanted to buy a truck. He said I had to wait. Ugh. I put my first weeks allowance in my piggy bank.

I love my new class. I'm in TK- we're the oldest class in the school. I have a tiny crush on my teacher, Mrs. Helms. I have told my mom many times how much I love her. She's great and we're learning lots. I keep asking my mom how to spell things b/c we're learning how to spell, write and read words in school. This week we're studying the letter "F." I asked my mom the other morning to tell me some words that start w/ the letter F. She said, "Fingers, feet, food..." I said, "How about FART?" My mom laughed and told me not to share that word w/ the class, it would be innappropriate. Inappropriate? That's a big word. My mom will be glad to know that I didn't say it in class.

Let' see. I still LOVE to build Legos. My old Thomas the Train table has turned into my Lego table. I took apart (w/ the help of Ri) all of my vehicles, my airport and other things and now I just build my own things. Right now on my table I have a car wash, garage, house, fence, some cars and other stuff that I've built. I got some KNEX for my birthday and they've been fun to build too. I think I want to be a builder when I grow up. My mom said that was fine, as long as I was in charge.

I've been practicing on my new bike. I really like it. My mom makes me wear a helmet, which is annoying and itchy, but she says it keeps me safe. I still like to play in my sandbox. I've been digging trenches and making rivers in my sandbox lately. I know how to use the hose by myself now so it's super easy. The only problem is when Riley wants to play in the water with me. She gets really dirty and then my mom makes us take a bath or shower.

So- that's about it for me. I'll leave you with a list of all the things I love these days:
