So our last trip to the beach for the summer was today. Our last trip down here could not have ended on a more beautiful day. The last few days the weather has been kind of iffy, but today, gorgeous. Simply gorgeous.
No clouds. No humidity. (well barely) Not too hot. Riley loved it. Jack had a blast.
Sounds like a good time to me.
We ended the afternoon with a swim in the pool. Our little Jack can swim across the pool in the deep end all alone, finally. He flips forwards and backwards and swims under water for long stretches. He has come a long way this summer. He's even tried diving. He doesn't quite get the whole diving thing but it's coming. We'll have to hit the indoor pool once it cools down so he can keep up the practice.
We've had a nice time. Riley's finally adjusted to the beach and isn't as scared anymore. If you build her a little pool to splash around in she's good to go. She loves putting her head under water now. She's joined the rest of the family as a seafood eater, enjoying crabs and shrimp for the first time.
Jack finishes up golf camp tomorrow. This is the last week the club is having it and there are only a few boys taking it this week. It's great for Jack b/c he gets lots of attention from Matt- the pro that runs the camps.
We head home tomorrow. It'll be a long drive- but I gotta do it.
Until next time...
