Another busy weekend

$28,000.

And that's the last count I heard.

Let me explain.

Todd keeps up w/ lots of friends from high school and college. One of his closest friends BJ also lives here in town and his dad was diagnosed w/ ALS this past year. A few months ago BJ and his sisters began putting together a team of people to walk in the annual fundraiser here in town. Well- fast forward a few months and they raised almost $30,000. Needless to say Team D.O.D. took top honors for fund raising.

They designed T-shirts for everyone to wear and Mr. Mart's team definitely had the most people walking. Jack loves his T-shirt. In fact- he wanted to wear it again today.

While the weekend was bittersweet, everyone had a nice time. Todd's parents (who are close w/ Mr. and Mrs. Mart) came in town and Todd's other buddy from college flew in with his wife and children for the walk and stayed w/ us as well. We hosted a cookout here Friday night and then braved the heat for the 5 K yesterday.

Last night we all hung out at BJ's sisters' house. The kids ran around like crazy animals while the adults chatted.

I must say it was an honor to be a small part of an amazing weekend for Mr. Martinelli. I am sure Mr. Mart realizes how much everyone loves him.

We sure do.
