Now that I wrote my first ever blog entry, I thought I'd write another quick post while both kiddos are napping (or taking a snoozer as Jack calls it). Riley is napping in her swing, thank God. She doesn't nap well, so we'll take it when and where we can get it.
I'll introduce our kiddos real quick.
Jack is three, and a typical ornery boy. He loves cars, trucks, planes and just about anything that moves. He is deeply attached to his "Dee." You can see it lying behind him on the floor. It's actually a stuffed animal version of our dog. For some reason the past couple of weeks he has been obsessed w/ it. I hope this stops. I dont' want him heading to college w/ it. He loves his sister Riley.
Riley is four months old. She is a heartbreaker. As you can see, she has long hair that mommy puts bows in from time to time. She rolled from back to stomach today for the first time. She sleeps like a champ at night, but catnaps during the day. Oh well, can't have it all I guess.
Our third "child" is Kodiak, our Golden Retreiver. He was our first child. We have had him for over six years and he has slowly worked his way down the totem poll to last place. He used to get daily walks and be clean as a whistle. Now he's lucky if Daddy cleans his ears once a month and get a walk once in a blue moon. He loves Jack though, they play together all the time (which makes up for some of the guilt).
That's it for now- Jack's awake.
Until next time...
