A first for everything

Since we've been on a roll of "firsts" for Riley this past week, we might as well take it all the way. Today she started her first antibiotic. Ugh- Jack had a cold/croup two weeks ago, passed it on to Riley and here we are w/ her first ear infection, a mild sinus infection and a fever. I've been sucking snot out of her nose for almost two weeks. Yuck. We've been here before. Jack has been to the E.R. twice for croup, it's not fun. They say croup always sounds worse than it really is, but when your four month old coughs like a seal, it's a bit alarming.

Tonight has already consisted of two squirts of Tylenol (she threw up the first one), a squirt of Amoxicillin, a steam bath and some time out in the cold air. As of right now she is sleeping in her bouncy seat (for height) and w/ the vaporizor on full blast. I am heading to sleep now in the guest room, across the hall from Little Miss Riley Monroe so I can hear her. I hope I get some sleep.

Until next time...
