The Braves finally lost this past weekend.
It was a hard fought game: 13 -12. We lost in the bottom of the 6th (last inning for machine pitch) on a sweltering day.
Miserable. Jack played terrible. Struck out once and lined it to first base twice. Not his day.
In a weird sorta way I am glad. Jack needs to learn what it feels like to lose. Life isn't always about winning. It's about being a part of a team, working together, winning, losing, relying on each other. That's one reason sports are so important. Life lessons are learned.
I am thankful Jack is learning these lessons, while all along, learning to play baseball and making new friends in the process.
Until next time...
