Weekend "Fun"

Jack said to me on Saturday afternoon, while waiting for the babysitter, "Mom- this isn't a fun weekend."

What? For real? I know you didn't just say that.

I guess he thinks that we have to entertain him at all hours of the day. Not sure who he thinks is going to fold the laundry, empty the dishwasher, pull weeds, pick the dirty moss out of the stones, water the flowers, keep his sister's attitude in check, cook, vacuum.............

Oh wait- guess that would be your MOM AND DAD Jack.

Forgive me if you've forgotten that you played a fabulous baseball game on Saturday- which was loads of fun. Have you forgotten that we took you and your sister out to a yummy dinner on Friday night? And we played outside all morning on Saturday? And Daddy took you to your favorite egg sandwich shop on Saturday?

Remember now? Ok- just checkin'.

So- you want fun? How about we go to Walmart and buy some cheap, oversized, rubber balls.

Cheap fun, let me tell ya'.

Bounce. Bounce. Bounce.
