I really thought we were heading into spring. Not so soon. It's probably hovering around 45 degrees right now- and raining. It's been raining for almost 24 hours. Enough already.
Ri's first game (well- really a scrimmage) was cancelled yesterday b/c of Mother Nature and it's probably a good thing. She was complaining of a stomach ache all morning. We think she was battling a case of the nerves. She seemed to be fine when we returned home.
Ri's a tough nut to crack sometimes. She's a little leader in situations where she's comfortable but put her in a new situation or around people she's not that familiar with and she's a bit reserved and shy. It's tough to watch but playing on a team will only help her overcome these nerves. She's the youngest and smallest on her team and it's obvious. It's just another reminder of why I don't want her to be the smallest and definitely not the youngest in school.
Jack's team played their first game Friday night. We won. It was great to watch. These boys are really a team and play well together. Jack did fine and had a lot of fun, which is the most important.
