Little Messes

Although the past few days have been slightly warmer than the previous month the kids are in that middle of winter play-inside mode.

This year Riley has joined forces with Jack in creating little nooks and crannies around the house w/ various goodies. Right now they are taking over the 'living room.' Not the TV room, but the supposed-to-be-formal-room (but not formal in our house).

It looks a little something like this:

I am not kidding you when I say the list of items shoved behind the chairs and next to the chest of drawers but behind the basket filled with trains is quite long. And the funny thing about these 'areas' is Jack's side is nothing but neat-in fact it's quite disheveled and in disarray. Riley's? Nice, neat, organized and everything is lined up. Not sure where that came from :).

And just so I can look back and giggle one day with my children I'll give you a glimpse at the above mentioned list:

These two kids seem to love their "areas" - as they call them.

And Riley has taken up photography to show you herself. If everysinglesolitary picture that she took wasn't a hot fuzzy mess I'd show you. Gotta teach that girl some pointers.
