A List

1. Glad for school to be back in today. Kids were at each other's throats the last few days so it was time. Ri doesn't start until tomorrow- then I'll be really happy.

2. Only 18 more days until we get to bring Swisher home. We are so excited. Ri and I went to visit some friends today who have a brand new yellow Lab puppy. Santa brought him and he's super cute. It was a quick reminder though how much work young puppies are. Times are a changin' around here for a while once Swish arrives.

3. Riley's been OCD about her American Girl dolls. I think I could toss the entire playroom out- with the exception of those three dolls and she would not know the difference. She's finally able to maneuver their clothes on and off by herself and she strolls them around like they are real. Her imagination runs rampant at times.

4. Baseball sign ups are under way already. Oh my goodness- In less than two months we'll be back at the baseball fields all the time. It's been a nice break and we'll continue to enjoy the nights at home- but we do miss it. Jack starts hitting lessons tomorrow for 10 weeks from a local coach that comes recommended :). He's excited to hit with his new bat that Santa bought. His first basketball game is this weekend and he still has a few more weeks of lacrosse.

5. Todd upgraded my camera for me. So now I am shooting w/ this. Luckily it comes with a lens that I already have so I was able to sell my Canon XSi and wide angle lens in less than 30 minutes on Craig's List for exactly what I wanted. It made the deal much sweeter! It takes a wicked picture and I am officially in love with it. Now- I just need to use the darn thing some more. I am tinkering around with the idea of giving this amateur photography thing a go- just need a website and a few other goodies. It's such a passion of mine and I really enjoy photographing children- we'll see how things go.
