Day Three

We are on Day Number Three of no school.

Day Number Three of cabin fever. Of children fighting. Of bundling up several times a day to play in the snow. Of wondering if this is what it's like to live up North. Of wishing my children would sleep in but they won't. Of too many electronics. Of drying soaking wet clothes. Of watching movies. Of dreading that call from Union County Public Schools.

But who's complaining? Not me. I love spending multiple days in a row holed up in our house with my children :))).

On the positive side of things the kids have been having an absolute blast sledding in the snow, which has a 1/4 inch layer of ice on top, Jack especially. Monday afternoon we hit the slopes at the Y and yesterday morning we spent a couple of hours sledding down our neighbors driveway all the way through the street and down the cul-de-sac. Jack took a digger to the head once but recovered for a few more runs.

Todd was able to make it out of the house in between work calls a few times:

It's been fun but we're ready for school to start back up. Keeping my fingers crossed for a regular day tomorrow!

Until next time...
