Another Year

Well- today marks my 37th year on this Earth.

Just means I am 3 years away from the big one.

The big 4-0. Ouch.

So many of my friends made my day special from sharing a pedicure to dropping off gifts (including a much loved pillow pet of my very own) to emails to calls to texts. Sure makes a girl feel special.

Todd and I went to Nakato's (hibachi) with the kids and stuffed our bellies so full we are waiting until Friday to have 'birthday' dessert. The kids were disappointed we didn't have a cake to sing Happy Birthday but we'll do it Friday. Heck- they were both passed out cold in the car on the way home for dinner anyway!

I have a lot to be thankful for this year. Most of all my family, my health and my friends.

My sweet Jack, who is plugging right along with lacrosse, baseball lessons and basketball games. The kid thrives on sports and would be lost without them. Thankfully he knows how to read, play outdoors, chill with his sister and feed the dog too :).

My sweet Riley who has taken 'ownership' of Swisher rather quickly. She is a momma at heart and loves to 'babysit' him while I shower, cook or just go to the bathroom. If she only knew how to clean up his accidents we'd be all set.

My sweet husband who works his a-double-s off so his wife and children can live a nice life. I don't thank him enough for his sacrifices but man- he's the rock of our family.
